Artist Statement

My name is Svitlana Dudenko, I am an artist and the founder of a new direction — Kosmo-Orphic Symbolism (KOS). This is a new word and an artistic language of the 21st century, uniting symbolism, the Ukrainian avant-garde, and the tradition of Orphism.

In my compositions, line and color form orbital structures where the circle resonates as a symbol of memory, resilience, and harmony. KOS is rhythmic painting that not only carries aesthetic value but also fits harmoniously into interiors and collections, acting as a symbolic fragment that brings luck and success into people’s lives.

I arrived at this style through layered experience: over 25 years as Chief Artist of Kharkiv, working in urban environment design. I taught courses in materials science for monumental artists, antique attribution, and color science. In addition, I am an expert in Ukrainian porcelain and the author of two books.

This path allowed me to combine practice, research, and artistic vision in the formulation of a new style — Kosmo-Orphic Symbolism, opening new horizons for art, collecting, and life.
